We have been very thrilled this week to receive unexpected support from two local groups in our community.
Firstly we had a donation of lots of food from Wallbrook Early Learning Centre in Manly. They had enjoyed a party and collected the food from those who attended. Our Foodbank shelves looked much better once we unloaded all the bags of goodies they brought in.
The second lovely surprise was when we checked our bank statement and found a considerable deposit for the Foodbank from St Stephens Church in Whangaparaoa. Another very welcome contribution which we will spend on buying items that we are short of at present.
We are so lucky to live in such a generous community and it brightens our days when we receive this kind of support. On behalf of the people who will benefit we thank you most sincerely.
