We are thrilled to announce that Auckland Council has extended our lease on the site at the corner of Hibiscus Coast Highway and Centreway Road. (Known as 216 or childcare site.) This means we can now proceed with maintenance and improvement tasks that we are aware need doing. Already the trees have been trimmed so that branches do not hang over the building or cause damage to our premises. In the near future painting and ramp work will be done, along with appliance upgrades.
Unfortunately what we are not thrilled about is the removal from the building of one of our fire extinguishers. Not only is this totally unacceptable and disrespectful, it creates a safety issue and unwarranted expense for us in having to replace it. Luckily most of our users are wonderful people who appreciate having a low cost venue to run their activities.
